Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have food? We currently offer flatbreads, salads, and other light snack options that rotate daily. Additionally, on occasional weekends we have our Airstream grill open, which features burgers and other snacks. We also have rotating food trucks on certain days. Please check our Calendar for the upcoming schedule. You are welcome to call the Tasting Room before your visit for the most up-to-date food status.
Can we bring our own food? We ask that you refrain from bringing your own food. Exceptions can be made for bringing in your own desserts for celebrations. Please just make sure to clean up your area after you’re done.
Are you wheelchair accessible? Yes! We have paved ramps to the tasting room as well as the patio areas.
Do you require reservations? Is there indoor/outdoor seating for guests? No, we do not require reservations. We do accept reservations for indoor seating and those can be booked right on our home page. All outdoor seating is first come, first served. Our guests are also welcome to bring their own lawn chairs, picnic blankets, etc., and grab a spot anywhere on our expansive grounds. For groups larger than 12, please contact our events coordinator at events@rusticroots.wine to discuss our many options.
Where are you located? We are conveniently located about 15 minutes north of Stillwater on scenic Hwy 95. Our address is 20168 St. Croix Trail North, Scandia, Minnesota 55073.
What is parking like? Once you’ve reached the end of the drive, follow the signs for parking, overflow parking, drop off, and exit. The majority of our lots and paths are paved and accessible. Please drive slowly and with caution.
Can you accommodate limos/buses? Yes, we have a large area for overflow parking; please park any large vehicles there. Feel free to call ahead to ensure space is available.
Is my tasting fee waived if I buy a bottle? We will happily refund your tasting fee with the purchase of three or more bottles of wine.
Are any of your wines vegan friendly? Yes, all our wines are vegan-friendly. We do not use any finings made from animal byproducts (isinglass, casein, egg whites, etc.).
How do I find out about upcoming events? Check the Events Page on our website and follow us on social media for news, announcements, and details about events.
Can I book a private event at the winery? Please reach out to us via phone (651-433-3311) or email (events@rusticroots.wine) to discuss your event and what we can offer.
Do you ship? If so, where? Yes, we ship to 40 states! See the Purchase Wines section of our website.
Do you sell gift cards? Yes! You can get on by stopping into the winery in person, by calling the winery to have one mailed to you (or to the recipient), or through the Purchase Wines section of our website.
Am I allowed to smoke? We are a smoke-free environment for our guests and employees.
What if someone in our group does not drink wine? We have something for everyone! In addition to wine, we offer cider and locally brewed beer on tap. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available.
Are kids allowed? Yes, kids are welcome and encouraged. But please make sure they’re supervised at all times. Non-alcoholic beverages are available.
Are dogs allowed? Yes, well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome on any of our outdoor spaces. We do have dog waste bags on site and ask that you please clean up after your dogs.
What holidays are you closed? We are closed New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Check our calendar or ask a server for details. Closures are subject to change.
Do you have a wine club? Yes! We recently launched the Rustic Roots Wine Club. Ask your server for details on benefits and how to join.
